BRITTA McCARTHY   /   INTERIOR DESIGNER / FOUNDER

member NKBA , ASID, NESEA

As a first generation American Dane, the meaning and beauty of thoughtful design for the home is personal to Britta. Organization and flow of space and light, and carefully curated sustainable and local resources are key to her design philosophy. Britta balances design with functionality, often thinking outside of the box, for clients desiring something different, unique for them, yet enduring for the future. Hygge, a way of being and living, flows into to every aspect of her work and life.

PAULA ANTONEVICH / STUDIO ASSISTANT

A lifelong New Englander, Paula entered the world of interior design with a natural talent for home decor, furnishings, textiles, colors and patterns. Her time in Sweden and exposure to Scandinavian living and design helped evolve her aesthetic. She is a valuable member of our in-house design team and brings a refined eye to our projects and many of the finishing touches.

COMMUNITY + HEALTH

Britta Design Inc is a supporter of the Silent Spring Institute, an organization founded in 1994 and dedicated to science that serves the public interest. SSI partners with physicians, public health and community advocates and other scientists to identify and break the links between environmental chemicals and women’s health, especially breast cancer. Their groundbreaking studies have opened new doors to the health risks associated with toxics where we live and work – areas that have been ignored in cancer research.
