As a first generation American Dane, the meaning and beauty of thoughtful design for the home is personal to Britta, the founder of Britta Design. Organization and flow of space, and carefully curated sustainable and local resources are key to our design philosophy. We create healthy homes for our clients looking for a little “hygge” in their lives. Hygge is a way of being and living which flows into to every aspect of our work and lives. A feeling of coziness, warmth, and pleasure that emanates from human connection and special moments we share with each other. We create the setting, personalized for you - using space, form, texture, color and light - so you can enjoy your home as you desire - whether a sanctuary for peace and quiet, or a place to gather around the table with family and friends.
COMMUNITY + HEALTH
Britta Design is a supporter of the Silent Spring Institute, an organization founded in 1994 and dedicated to science that serves the public interest. SSI partners with physicians, public health and community advocates and other scientists to identify and break the links between environmental chemicals and women’s health, especially breast cancer. Their groundbreaking studies have opened new doors to the health risks associated with toxics where we live and work – areas that have been ignored in cancer research.
